Abstract

An approximate analytical solution to the problem of radiation from a ferrite—dielectric—semiconductor filled rectangular waveguide is made. Both types of magnetization (longitudinal and transverse) have been considered. The expressions for the radiation fields are obtained by using the vector Huygen's principie. The effect of the semiconductor plasma frequency and the collision frequency on the radiation pattern is discussed. It is pointed out that there exists no cut-off region in the structure, and it radiates in all the directions.
