Electronic Potentiometer

Abstract

This paper describes the structure and performance of a field effect structure suitable for variable resistor. Linear V-I characteristics between source and drain can be obtained when this device is used with a summing amplifier. The slope of the V-I characteristics is determined by the control voltage only.
