A High-Q Low-Sensitivity Twin-T Notch Filter

Pages 1-4 | Received 20 Feb 1976, Published online: 11 Jul 2015

Abstract

Twin-T active filters are becoming very popular, especially with the advent of hybrid thin-film integrated circuit technology. In this paper, a twin-T active RC notch filter is discussed, which can realize a high quality factor with low sensitivity. In addition, it uses only a single differential amplifier. The frequency limitations due to the one pole roll-off of the amplifier gain have been derived. A design procedure for use at low as well as high frequencies is also explained.
