Identification of Products for Manufacture in the Small-Scale Sector in Electronics

(Member) (Managing Director) (Member) (Managing Director)

Abstract

Considerable interest has been generated in the development of Electronics in the small-scale sector.

A number of entrepreneurs who have set up industries in the small-scale sector without adequate guidance and experience, have come to grief.

We are fortunate that the IPAG has taken up a number of items for detailed survey and a considerable amount of information on a large number of items is available. However, the potential is very large and the list of items that can be profitably taken up in the small-scale sector needs careful analysis. Various factors leading to a commercially viable selection of products for manufacture and a proper product-mix under a specified environment are discussed.
