Abstract
In a competitive market for well-known electronics consumer items and general purpose electronics items, units located away from the main centres of electronics trade and the consumer are at a disadvantage.
It is to be recognized that one of the main inputs in an electronics industry is technology. Very often, a technical entrepreneur has to do a variety of jobs to keep his unit running and his energies are diverted towards administrative and procedural problems.
To accelerate growth of electronics industries in the small-scale sector, well-organized services in the form of suitable sub-contracting arrangements, component-banks, centralized testing and development facilities, guidance and quality assurance systems, consultancy for solving immediate technical problems and support in marketing, play a very important role, in addition to the financial arrangements and assistance in procedural matters.
