Abstract
The topic of “Infra-structure and financial support for small-scale electronic industry” is too big and we are discussing only the infra-structural support that would be necessary for the growth of small-scale sector especially in electronics: with the emphasis on sophistication and eagerness to reach the other developed scientific nations, the stress on large-scale sectors (especially public sector) for concentrating on ultra modern technologies and sophisticated spheres is taking shape more and more prominently. With the ever increasing overheads and need to diversify and diffuse these technologies over a wider base, it is essential for small-scale sector in the form of either ancillaries or individuals be promoted sooner.
For the healthy growth of small-scale sector already the financial and the test/development facilities are being fortified by each State IDCs. In addition, the other two major supports necessary are the raw materials (centralized) components distribution and centralized marketing/as well as after-sales service networks.
This paper deals with these two aspects, their importance with illustrations which could bring in a proliferation of small-scale electronic industry of viable operation and most up-to-date technology.
