Abstract
An attempt has been made to integrate an active circuit right at the feed points of a normal six-element Yagi antenna. This paper reports the use of an active device which not only transforms the balanced antenna input impedance into an unbalanced impedance but also gives some gain. The circuit is designed for minimum noise contribution. The parameters of such an active integrated antenna like feed-point impedance, relative gain and bandwidth, radiation pattern and noise temperature etc. have been measured and compared with the passive antenna.
