Abstract

Most of the modern computers haee teletypes and their interfaces as the basic input and output device. The interface developed aims to accomplish the task of connecting a teleprinter to the computer as an input and output device by matching the codes, levels and formats of both the computer and the teleprinter. The interface converts 7.5 unit 5 level serial teleprinter code to six-bit parallel binary code and vice versa. This interface will be of much use to those who are interested in interfacing a teletype to the computer.
