An On-line Rocket Trajectory Acquisition System at Thumba

Abstract

A quick plot of rocket trajectory is a must for any Rocket Range for performance evaluation and planning future flights. This paper describes a real-time trajectory acquisition system which enables such a plot to be obtained with the use of digital incremental plotters connected to the Range Computer. The details of CPU modifications, interfacing, data link and software techniques are also discussed.
