Overdescription in State Models of Power Systems

Pages 635-639 | Received 02 Nov 1976, Published online: 10 Jul 2015

Abstract

In this paper, the state uncontrollability of certain power system dynamic models for transient stability investigation is explained on the basis of state overdescription, a concept recently introduced by Johnson. The legitimate state vector corresponding to that of minimal order is obtained. This concept is more satisfying than the one using standard controllability criteria.
