Abstract

A simple but useful modification of the conventional Yagi system has been made by adding a half-wave parasitic element on the transverse plane symmetrically on each side of the excited folded dipole. This modified antenna system has been referred to as the Composite Yagi Array System. Results of an experimental study of the different aspects viz., gain, intensity patterns, impedance of the antenna system etc. have been reported.
