Micro-Electronic Circuit Design with Integrated Components

Abstract

This paper gives a review of the more significant developments in the linear micro-electronic circuit design, which are relevant to economically viable manufacture. A succinct account of the stat-of-the-art silicon monolithic operational amplifier and active-RC filter designs are presented. An evaluation of these design approaches leads to the conclusion that thick-film hybrids with plastics and organic conductors might be more suited to economic manufacture of integrated circuits whose functions are defined for specific application and which are not required in large number.

SAHA, A R (Dr): (b. 1933). Received the MSc (Tech) and PhD degrees in Radiophysics and Electronics from Calcutta University in 1955 and 1964 respectively. Joined Jadavpur University as a Lecturer in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in 1956. Appointed Reader in 1961. Went to Japan on Colombo Plan Fellowship in 1964. Since 1968, he is Professor of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Jadavpur University. Visited Sofia in 1976 under exchange programme to lecture on Integrated Circuits. His major interest is in Solid-State Electronics including devices and circuits.
