Abstract

Man-made radio noise occupies a considerable portion of the useful radio frequency spectrum. Noise from different sources is perceptible up to the frequency range of as high as 1000 MHz- Below 20 MHz, ignition systems create the main problem. With the increasing use of various types of radio noise generating household electrical gadgets, development of very sensitive type of receivers, the problem of pollution has been aggravated. In this paper, the unsuppressed noise values for some ignition systems with the use of indigenous and imported suppressors are reported and discussed.
