S-Band Coaxial High-Power Limiter

Abstract

High-power broadband coaxial limiter design principle and procedure have been outlined. Using this principle and procedure, coaxial limiter in filter structure using limiter diodes is designed, fabricated and tested. The limiter handled 1 kW peak 1 μs pulse width. The insertion loss at low power was 0.5 dB and leakage power at 1 kW peak, 1 μs pulse width was less than 100 mW.
