Jainath Kaul
Kaul, Jainath. (b. 1907) MSc (Mathematics). Certificates of Proficiency in (a) Electrical Technology (1930–33) (b) Electrical Communication Engineering (1935–36), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Life Member (a) Institute of Standards Engineers (SEI) and (b) Indian Library Association (ILA). Head, Publications Department, Indian Standards Institution, New Delhi (1951–1967). Represented India on the 8-msmbsr multi-national Study Mission on Standardization and Quality Control of Asian Productivity Organization (APO), Tokyo (Feb-March 1953). The team toured US, UK, France; Germany; Netherlands, Japan, etc., to study the working of National Standards Bodies there, and produced a Report for APO member countries. Co-editor with Dr. Lal C. Verman in the production of the Prize- winning book ‘Metric Change in India’ (1967–70).
