An Automatic Line Equaliser Working Down to 0-dB Loss

Pages 595-598 | Received 19 Oct 1979, Published online: 11 Jul 2015

Abstract

A method by which automatic line equalisation can be provided down to O-dB loss has been described. An approximate mathematical model for the equaliser has been presented. The method uses a novel technique to delink automatic slope control from automatic gain control, thereby making the equaliser design very flexible and easily adaptable to different types of cables.
