Use of Charge-Control Model as an Analysis Tool for Bipolar Junction Transistor

Abstract

A number of models bare been suggested over the past two decades. The most widely-used large-signal models are Ebers-Moll, lumped and charge-control. It is shown that charge-control model gives quite reasonable results as far as the analysis of the bipolar transistor is concerned. The basic assumption in the model that the collector current at any instant is proportional to the base charge is not exactly true.
