Resemblances of Null Filter Characteristics Between Subnetworks of Distributed Parameter R-C-Nr and C-R-NC Structures

Abstract

Certain integrated notch filter configurations of the distributed parameter (DP) R-C-NR and C-R-NC structures have been analysed in the literature. The purpose of this paper is to give examples of two sets of the notch filter subnetworks, one set from the DP R-C-NR structure and the other from the DP C-R-NC structure, which have exactly the same open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current ratio transfer functions. Hence, the results of the analyses of one set of the notch filter are equally applicable to the other set. The redundancy of certain recent work in the field is pointed out.
