Abstract
Many a microcomputer has only a single level of interrupt facility. Using number of peripherals communicating with CPU through interrupts means software polling is to be resorted to. This time-consuming method cannot be used in some applications. This short note describes a simple, inexpensive way of creating interrupt vectoring, where there is none. Though the scheme refers to a specific microcomputer ECIL Micro 78, hopefully similar methods could be used for other microcomputers as well.
