Determination of Multivariable Positive-Real Function from Its Given Real Part Using State-Variable Technique

Abstract

Methods of generating a multivariable positive-real function from the given real part using state-space technique are presented. The first method involves spectral factorization and positive real lemma for multivariable positive-real functions (which are also proved), while the second is based on Jordan form realization for multivariable functions.
