A Floppy System Interface to EC 1030 Computer

Abstract

The design of an INS-1771-1-based floppy system interface to the EC 1030 computer system is described in this paper.

S.S.S.P. Rao: Received his DMIT (Electronics from Madras University in 1963 and his MTech degree from IIT, Bombay in 1968. He served in Computer Group of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research from October 1963 to February 1964. Since 1964, he is at IIT, Bombay. Now he is Assistant Professor and also In-Charge (Maintenance) of the EC-1030 Computer System, Computer Centre at IIT, Bombay Areas of his research interest are Compute System Design, Microprogramming, Microprocessor Based Systems. Fault Diagnosis and Hybrid Computer Systems.

D.N. Deokar

D.N. Deokar: Received his BE (Electrical) degree from VRCE Nagpur, in 1980. Currently he is working towards his part time MTech (Computer Science) degree at IIT, Bombay He is also working with Maintenance Group of Computer Centre, IIT, Bombay. Areas of his interest are Computer Organization and Architecture, Microprocessor based systems and Digital System Design.

S.A. Chitale

Sudarshan Chitale: Received his BTech (Electrical) degree from IIT Bombay in 1982. Currently he is studying for his MS degree at University of North Carolina, USA. His areas of interest include VLSI design, Microprocessors and their Applications, Computer Architecture etc.
