VHF Tracking Transponder Onboard Bhaskara II

Abstract

This paper presents the system design, hardware realization and inorbit performance of VHF Tracking Transponder onboard BHASKARA II. The system as a prime payload is being used for transponding the tracking data for the satellite. The range and range rate data obtained from the satellite is used for the orbital parameter updating and orbit prediction for the satellite.
