Abstract

A design of hardware of a remote station for data acquisition system is given. The software of the system will be based on SWTPC 6800 microcomputer. The data can be acquired from 8 remote stations under control of master station for processing. Each remote station is capable of handling eight analogue inputs, eight status inputs or control outputs. Analogue inputs have to be between 1 to S volts, and the control is ON/OFF type. Facility has been provided for regular scanning of all input points and reporting of alarm conditions alongwith time information. The communication between master station and remote station is in serial, four-wire mode.
