Computer Analysis of Cascaded Phase-Synchronized Oscillators

Abstract

Dynamic behaviour of a chain of regenerative repeaters with a phase-lock loop as a timing filter is studied using a nonlinear phase-lock loop model. An efficient numerical technique for solving the system governing equations is presented and some illustrative results of computer analysis are given. Complex nonlinear behaviour of the system is shown and the limits within which the linear theory yields correct results are indicated.
