Abstract
The paper estimates the detrimental effects of a CW interfering tone accompanying the synchronizing signal on the performance of an injection locked Gunn oscillator operating at 10 GHz. Also reported is the possibility of occurrence of the ‘frequency jump’ phenomenon in an injection synchronized oscillator (ISO) at the microwave frequency. A theory is presented in support of the experimental observations.
