Abstract

Molti Stage Monte Carlo optimization (MSMCO) is used to solve an inductance network for the correct inductor values for various set switching patterns. Then a larger inductor network is presented with fixed inductance and MSMCO is used to solve for the appropriate switching pattern to meet a customer's requirements. The multi stage algorithm is explained and the considerable limit theory surrounding MSMCO is explored with a one hundred variable convergence example. The dual purpose of the presentation is the development and explanation of this new solution technique along with suggesting potential applications by looking at circuit theory in a new and novel way.
