Abstract
This paper reports the effects of a co-channel interfering carrier on the signal tracking capability and the fidelity of reproduction of an X-band injection-locked Gunn amplifier (ILGA). The interference-induced modulation distortion of the amplified FM signal and the possibility of the frequency jump have been studied experimentally. Nonlinear analysis of the system equations reflects an important idea for the suppression of the CW interference. Experimental observations are found to be in tune with the nonlinear theory.
