Abstract

The radiation properties of four new types of microstrip line antennas named as circular patch, rectangular line, annular slot and rectangular slot in plasma medium are compared in this paper. Graphs are plotted for the EM-mode and the P-mode field pattern factors for different ratios of the source to plasma frequencies. The experimental and theoretically computed values in free space are compared. The efficiency of the rectangular line and circular patch microstrip antennas is also compared with the conventional half wavelength dipole antenna.
