Abstract
An attempt is made in implementing Burt pyramid which is an efficient algorithm that produces a multiresolution bandpass representation of image information. Since, the pyramid is a potentially powerful tool for advanced television image processing, a software package has been developed to perform both the decomposition and reconstruction of the algorithm on digitized television signals.
This software MSPYRA is developed in FORTRAN 77 tested in UNIX based system.
