Microprocessor Based Stepper Motor Control of Solar Tracking Systems

Abstract

This paper describes the stepper motor control of solar energy collectors using Intel 8085 microprocessor. The software selects one of the five modes (0, 1, 2, 3, 4,) of operation and displays the data. The software also includes the positioning of collectors through the stepper motor, data acquisition and processing etc. The system program occupies about 1600 bytes with 25 subroutines.
