Abstract
This paper discusses the regulating and operation aspects in TV and business satellite services. Technical aspects such as EIRP, bandwidth and quality, footprints are highlighted. Business services overview and television standards presentation are made for European panorama. Finally, satellite systems over Western Europe are discussed for 1989–1995 period.
