Electroacoustic Radiation Properties of Annular Ring Microstrip Antenna

Abstract

Expressions for the electroacoustic and electromagnetic field components of an annular ring microstrip antenna in plasma medium are obtained using linearized hydrodynamic theory and vector wave function techniques. The variation of radiation resistance and efficiency of the annular ring microstrip antenna with different ratios of plasma-to-source frequency is obtained and plotted. It is observed that radiation properties of the antenna are sharply changed in plasma medium.
