Mapping of Image Processing Algorithms on a Transputer Based Adaptable Pipeline

Abstract

Image processing and computer vision applications require high speed processing of images of very large sizes. Many parallel architectures have been suggested in the past. In this paper it is shown how a Transputer based Adaptable Pipeline can be used for these applications. It is also shown how various image processing algorithms can be efficiently mapped onto such a system.
