B B Pal is a Professor at the Department of Electronics Engineering, Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has more than 130 papers in Journals and Conference proceedings. His present areas of interests are High speed and opto-electronic devices and CAD. He worked as the Guest Editor for 3 special issues (including the present one) of JIETE. He is a member of editorial board of several scientific journals.
