Abstract
The paper deals with relations between continuous networks of the Hopfield type and a discrete time binary network, to be called MHOP in the sequel. It is shown that under certain conditions, a Hopfield type network and its MHOP equivalent have the same stable states, which lie at the corners of a N-dimensional hypercube. The convergence of the two networks is also discussed. The relation between the two networks is illustrated with the help of an example.
