A Study on the Effect of Radial Cavity Height on the Microwave Properties of Cap-Type Impatt Oscillators

Abstract

An analysis is made to study the effect of radial cavity height on the microwave properties of cap-type Impatt oscillators. The results give the variation of impedance along the cap circumference, and the optimum ratio between cavity height and the wavelength to obtain maximum microwave power output.
