Estimation of Radiation Luminous Efficacy

Pages 377-381 | Published online: 26 Mar 2015

Abstract

Luminous efficacy of LED sources are theoretically estimated by considering ideal and typical spectral responsivity values of the measuring photometer and radiometer. The luminous efficacies of red emitting and yellow emitting LED lamps are then measured. A good agreement between the theoretical and measured values are observed and the possible reasons for the variation in measured values are highlighted.
