Propagation and Loss Analysis of Suspended Slotlines Considering Effect of Metallization Thickness

Pages 231-237 | Published online: 26 Mar 2015

Abstract

Suspended slotlines, a class of quasi-planar transmission lines, have been analyzed for their dispersion characteristics and line losses. The investigations have been performed using Spectral Domain Galerkin Technique, in course of which the effect of finite thickness of fin metallization has also been considered. These studies reveal that the losses along these lines are very small and their dimensional tolerances will be better than other planar and quasi-planar propagating structures.
