R C Garg

Ramesh Chandra Garg after obtaining MTech from Calcutta University (1964). Joined Transmission Research Dept of Indian Telephone Industries, Bangalore. In 1969 he joined Indian Space Research Organisation.

Served as Head, Earth Station, General Manager, Group Director in ISRO and developed state-of-art communication equipment. Transferred knowhow of large number of communication equipments to Indian Industries. Many firsts to his credit in the country in the field of Electronics & Communication, e.g. Member of a team who had built first Commercial Earth Station at Arvi. As Head of operations, participated in Satellite, Instructional Television Experiment, first of its kind in the world. Built electronics systems for first Master Control Facility in the country. Built BSS uplink for Do T which made beginning of satellite TV Broadcasting in the country. Built first INSAT Satellite search and rescue processor. Built C-band Synthetic Aperture Radar first of its kind in the country.

Fellow Member of various professional bodies in the country. Widely travelled abroad on invitation of Foreign Governments and UN to present invited papers/Talk in International Conferences. Presently working as Director, Advanced Data Processing Research Institute (ADRIN), Secunderabad which is engaged in the development of software in the field of Digital Processing.
