Detection of Microwave FM Signal using a Tunable Diode Detector

Abstract

This paper describes a novel scheme of microwave FM signal detection using a simple tunable microwave diode detector. The theory predicts that detected signal voltage should vary linearly with the frequency modulating signal voltage. The experiment shows a good fit with the theory. The distortion of the detected signal is very small.
