Abstract
A scheme has been proposed for relative phase distribution among a group of coherent Gunn oscillators which can feed the phased array antenna elements. Using a pair of unilaterally synchronized Gunn oscillators, the relative phase variation of the injection synchronized slave oscillator has been experimentally measured as a function of external master signal frequency. The possibility of phase noise control of the array through injection locking to a stable low phase noise master oscillator has been theoretically investigated.
