Abstract

This article published earlier in [1] provides the mathematical analysis of the method along with the derivation of the mathematical model of the long-loop PLL and nonlinear equations used for the on-line estimation of the Eb/ N0 ratios. Design considerations and practical implementation of the method in a multi-mission remote sensing satellite ground station along with various unpublished and practically measured test results have also been included.
