Abstract

The possibility of hard disk failure is high whenever shut-down procedure is not carried out in PC with Windows Operating System. A novel and cost-effective machine is developed to ensure that shutdown procedure is executed automatically and data of files, which are open, are saved during the power failure. This machine can relieve the user from anxiety of loss of data due to power failure and reduce the probability of hard disk failure, at a very low cost. This paper discusses the features available in this machine and its advantages over existing UPS.
