Abstract
The Open Multimedia Applications Platform (OMAP) architecture provides a system solution for the wireless market. This work discusses the implementation of a part of ISO/IEC 14496, which was developed in response to a growing need for a coding method. To reduce blocking artifacts as a result of quantization in decoded video stream the deblock filter is applied as a post processing operation. This paper discusses Memory and million instructions per second (MIPs) optimization of deblock filtering module ported on Open Multimedia Applications Platform (OMAP 1510), and presents the results.
