Discrete-time Systems—A Unified Approach

Pages 471-479 | Published online: 26 Mar 2015

Abstract

In this paper, the concept of delta operator formulation of Discrete-time systems is presented in a unified manner. The philosophy of the discrete-time modeling using delta operator and the investigation of the problem of discrete-time systems in modelling, identification and control without ignoring the underlying the continuous-time systems is discussed. Use of delta operator against the conventional shift operator is presented to heilight the improved numerical robustness of the computational algorithms at high sampling frequency
