Chinmay K Maiti
C K Maiti received the BTech and MTech degrees in Applied Physics and Radio Physics and the PhD degree in Electronics from the University of Calcutta and IIT Kharagpur in 1972, 1974 and 1984, respectively. From 1984 to 1990, he was an Assistant Professor at IIT Kharagpur. From 1990 through 1999, he served as an Associate Professor and was promoted to Professor in 1999 in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, IIT-Kharagpur.
He has published four books in the Silicon-Germaniumand strained Silicon area and is the Editor of ‘Selected Works of Professor Herbert Kroemer’. He has also served as the Guest Editor for the Special Issues on Silicon-Germanium of Solid-State Electronics (November 2001 issue) and Heterostructure Silicon (August 2004 issue) which has been dedicated to Professor Herbert Kroemer (Nobel Laureate in Physics 2000). He has published more than 200 technical articles in Journals and Conference Proceedings. His main areas of research are silicon heterostructures
