Humanistic and Academic Core Values: The Responsive and Responsible Reform of the European University

Abstract

Within the context of the Bologna Process, how can and should the European university address the challenges that are arising from the changing demands of today's socially, economically, and culturally evolving realities, while maintaining its traditional historical mission and continuing to strive for competitiveness as well as attractiveness? This article addresses some of these challenges and the possible role and responsibilities of the European university.
