The bee as a biological indicator and test insect

Abstract

Although the bee is now used to evaluate the quality of the environment, its role has not been clearly defined in the field of bioindicators. Our experience has shown that the bee as an individual can be considered an indicating species, the family a true indicator and the hive a collector/accumulator.
