Abstract

Factors that effect the behaviour and distribution of foraging honey bees in different protected cultivation area are discussed on the basis of 3 years of studies of pollination systems. Honey bee colonies placed in 100 m2 hothouses are generally destined to succumb, whereas those placed in 800 m2 hothouses may survive if fed periodically.
