Abstract

New chemicals were tested in central Mexico for the control of potato late blight during a two year period. Incidence of disease was severe in both years. Plots where Cis-N-[1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethylthio]4-cyclohexene-1,2 dicarboximide (Difolatan) was applied showed similar yields in one year as the ones with Maneb-Zinc products and in the other outyielded them all significantly (0.01). The effectiveness of the various products is discussed.
